A short film by Bontoni - the Making of a Handmade Shoe

For several years now, we have been extremely glad to carry a selection of unique shoes by the Italian craftsmen of Bontoni. The impeccable work they deliver making the shoes that eventually wind up in our store, and the process in which they do so, are documented beautifully in this short film for you to view. From 2009 onwards, the masterpieces that are created at Bontoni's head quarters in the dreamy town called Montegranaro have been given a prominent place amongst the wide variety of over 300 styles of shoes we offer inside our store in Maastricht.

When we first started meeting and discussing about our collaboration, the idea was to create a line of models that is not only unique in sense of style, but that fits as close as possible to a bespoke shoe. Eventually, Bontoni and Shoes and Shirts have worked out a one-of-a-kind sizing programme, not known to any other Bontoni reseller. 

Where most other shoes are manufactured in regular UK or US sizes that differ roughly 1 centimeter per half size, the models we sell from Bontoni go per third of a centimeter, almost ensuring a glove-like fit.
