ALDEN SHOES - GENUINE HORWEEN SHELL CORDOVAN LEATHER
We are proud to have worked with Alden for over 30 years. We stock a wide selection of Alden's most iconic and timeless models, and many of them are made from the beautiful Horween shell cordovan leather that Alden has become so known for. Examples of such iconic models would be the longwing, plain-toe or the classic penny loafer. Cordovan leather, most often seen in the dark burgundy #8, is unique as it will develop a beautiful patina over time while also being extremely durable.
Alden lasts are known to optimize comfort and support. The result of such last making is that the shoes might not necessarily be the epitome of elegance when compared to their Italian brethren, but that was never the intention. Other than the last making and the choice of the highest quality uppers, Alden uses natural leather insoles, bark-tanned leather soles and a steel shank. Additionally, the shoes are stained and completely finished by hand, which ensures that the shoes have the perfect foundation for a lifetime of use.
