We are very proud to have an outstanding and long-lasting relationship with the world's most renowned and respected maker of Shell Cordovan footwear, The Alden Shoe Company. Since the start of our business in 1988, Alden has been represented in our collection. And even though their models and lasts have remained as classic as they were then, we notice a boost in popularity from especially the younger generations. Not only do the rich patinas and heavy welting appeal to the taste of many. The Shell Cordovan material of which the shoes are made is also in line with the importance of sustainability, given that it is vegetable tanned and extremely durable.
Therefore, we could not have thought of a better 30th birthday present for ourselves than a fully customized special Alden boot. And as the nature of the Shell Cordovan uppers brings with it that it is only rarely available, we thought we would be in for quite a wait. But fortunately,Christmas came early this year!
With pride, we present you our Alden PT Boot in Color #8 Shell Cordovan. A boot that breathes elegance, but especially sturdiness because of its double leather sole and the stormwelt. The PT Boot is built on the Military last, which is fitting for the model, but can be considered slightly wide. Therefore, the last width is B/D. In our many previous experiences with other Alden lasts, we have come to know that the rubber True Balance heel parts are great for stability, and are also more durable than leather heel parts.
